ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are hiring an experienced MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER to help us keep growing. We are looking for a candidate to assist The Centre in propelling its brand's image and increasing awareness of our work through consistent messaging and a strong communications strategy. The successful candidate will be a multi-skilled, multi-tasker who is eager to learn and passionate about making a positive difference. They will oversee everything from the development of brand collateral and website management to developing and implementing internal and external communications, social media outreach and marketing strategies. Our Marketing and Communications Manager works closely with all teams at The Centre to effectively bring across our work, impact and outcomes, to increase our visibility and contribute to our strategic goals.
This role is a full-time post and will preferably be based in Hong Kong.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The position includes but is not limited to the following specific tasks:
Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success;
Develop strategic, targeted communications campaigns to help us to further our organizational goals, reach a wider audience and engage a broader set of business and civil society stakeholders;
Provide strategic communications guidance to individuals at all levels throughout the organization on reports and other key deliverables, taking an editorial lead to ensure that all assets delivered to clients have the highest, professional level of written English-standards and are consistent with The Centre’s branding, style and voice;
Oversee the production and maintenance of marketing and communications materials and integration of The Centre’s brand identity into written and electronic (email, web, social media) communications, including white papers, website copy, templates, leaflets, presentations and more;
Lead, manage and grow The Centre’s social media channels;
Track the effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as required;
Manage communications spend and work with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assets;
Oversee the implementation and delivery of communication packages, including managing project budgets, conceptualising videos and scripts and liaising between project teams and external vendors;
Write and publish The Centre’s quarterly newsletters and all email campaigns;
Write and edit a broad range of communications and marketing materials, including marketing brochures, webpage, articles, press releases and blogs, ensuring strong SEO for content published on The Centre’s website;
Manage and maintain The Centre’s website to ensure it is accurate, timely, and user-friendly; includes proactively planning web content, identifying needed updates and direct content update efforts;
Assist different teams with language review, editing and formatting of reports and other written materials for clients;
Assist in the planning, preparation and promotion of in-person and/or online events, such as official study launches, including writing press releases and designing images for website and social media promotion;
Research and explore new promotional possibilities;
Other duties as requested.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of marketing and communications, communications experience in social work, child rights, business and human rights, or sustainability will be a plus;
Work experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector preferred;
Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns;
Excellent Microsoft office skills especially Word and PowerPoint;
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, esp. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, a major advantage;
Superior command of both verbal and written English (mother tongue level); knowledge in other Asian language would be a plus;
Editing / proofreading and strong writing skills are a must;
Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines;
Strong experience in content development and familiarity with content management systems;
Experience in developing effective press, PR and social media campaigns;
Experience managing social media accounts i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter;
Excellent organisational and time management skills;
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment;
An excellent communicator with a strong eye for detail;
Up to date on industry trends, and able to stay ahead of the curve;
Self-motivated and a can-do attitude, with the ability to work independently and in a team;
Must be able to think analytically and strategically;
A strong network of relevant PR and media contacts would be highly advantageous.
