About our workshop

Title: “What Meaningful Human Rights Due Diligence Approaches Look Like in Practice”

Date: September 10, 2026

Time: 10:15 am-11:30 am

As human rights due diligence becomes increasingly embedded in regulation, investor expectations and business practice, companies are under growing pressure to demonstrate not only compliance, but tangible outcomes for workers and communities across their supply chains.

Most companies already have due diligence systems in place. They conduct audits, collect supplier data, publish ESG disclosures and maintain grievance channels. Yet many continue to face recurring labour rights issues, limited visibility beyond Tier 1 suppliers and uncertainty about whether their efforts are actually preventing harm.

This interactive workshop will explore how commonly used due diligence tools can be strengthened and complemented by approaches that improve visibility, prevention and remediation. Drawing on practical implementation experience from brands, suppliers and field-based programmes, the session will examine questions including:

  • How can audits move beyond identifying non-compliances to driving corrective action and remediation?

  • How can companies ensure that findings are supported by adequate resources to address identified issues?

  • What information should ESG reporting generate to improve decision-making rather than simply satisfy disclosure requirements?

  • How can businesses identify risks that traditional audits are unlikely to detect?

  • What mechanisms help companies understand what is really happening in their supply chains?

  • How can prevention and remediation be integrated into existing due diligence systems?

Participants will leave with practical insights, lessons from real-world implementation and actions they can apply within their own organisations and supply chains.

Registration details will be published soon. Watch this space for updates.
